Hello and welcome to my site.

My name is Lisa. Ancestrally healers run in my family line. Through massive education and life experiences my skills have become increasingly more refined through the years. About ten years ago I was in a car accident that compressed my spine. Western medical was not treating my neurological symptoms correctly and it wasn't until I found a traditional cranial Osteopath that I was able to heal, walk again, reverse my neurological symptoms, and live my life from disabled too normal again. So impressed I started studying and receiving all osteopathist modalities I could perform under my license. In my personal practice I offer several kinds of session.

1. Deep Tissue with Myofacial Release, Trigger Point, Knot Removal, Five Element Acupressure, stretches, Gental positional release Osteopathic alignment by combining Ortho Bionomy and CST techniques. Magnetic field alignment, including chakra balancing, utilizing Reiki, Ortho , and CST energetic techniques. Session are about 90-120 minutes, are transformative, produce effective quick injury recovery, release trauma, and leave the person like a baby in a very free, spiritual, pain-free state. The body will feel congruent as well as the client's path in life.

2. Combined Energetic Healing Sessions incorporating Reiki, CST, and Ortho Bionomy. These sessions are about 60 minutes.

3. Traditional separate sessions of either CST , Reiki, or Ortho Bionomy, of the client's choice, these sessions are about 60 minutes.

REIKI

Reiki (/ˈreɪki/ RAY-keeJapanese: 霊気) is  energy healing, a type of alternative medicine originating in Japan.[1] Reiki utilizes "universal energy" that is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the client, to encourage emotional or physical healing.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Osteopath Dr. William Sutherland developed Craniosacral Therapy (CST) in the 1930s when he realized there is a small degree of motion allowed by the beveled cranial sutures, allowing them to move or “breathe,” pulsing with the body. "Like the gills of a fish". Essentially a function of the respiratory system regulating balance, structural congruency, hormonal balance, and circulatory function facilitating homeostasis in the body.  This motion occurs in relationship to the tissues and cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system, the membranes surrounding the central nervous system and the sacrum. The craniosacral system includes the structures of the central nervous system including the skull, the cranial sutures, the cerebrospinal fluid, membranes of the brain and the vertebrae, spinal cord and the sacrum.

The craniosacral system is connected with the musculoskeletal system through the vascular system as well as the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Trauma anywhere in the body may impact the craniosacral system, restricting normal movement and inhibiting the pulse of the fluids. It is believed that the normal rhythm can be interrupted by all kinds of trauma, including:

during birth

childhood injuries & adult injuries

repetitive motion injuries

car accidents

falling accidents

and even from stressful events that may lead to mental illnesses, autism, or PTSD.

This therapy works with the energetic, physical and emotional components of the body.

CST uses a series of gentle techniques that access the subtle energies of the body to remove blocks and restore this subtle movement, or pulse, in the central nervous system. Freeing up the spine, nerves, sutures, allowing neurotransmitters to regulate and flow properly.  The pressure used in CST is very light, about 5 grams of pressure or less – about the weight of a nickel, yet with a profound effect resulting in optimum homeostasis. A purification of the nervous system. Aligning one not only physically, but spiritually as well.

ORTHOBIONOMY

header3_1_edited.jpg

Origins in osteopathy, Ortho-Bionomy was developed in the 1970s by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, D.O. Dr. Pauls sought a natural, consistent, and lasting way to ease his patient's  pain and facilitate lasting structural recovery. Inspired by the body’s ability for self-correction, he combined the concepts of holding slack and comfort on a joint with elements of compression. (Compression flushes the joint with synovial fluid). Bringing the pattern into the direction of ease, the dysfunctional pattern. Then taking the body a bit further reprograms the nervous system to the original pattern. The pattern of how the body was before the trauma or injury. Through continued research, Dr. Paul's expanded the work to include release and balance in the body through movement and energy; he also incorporated work with the organs, fluids, and other systems of the body. Dr. Paul's eventually named the work Ortho-Bionomy, meaning “correct life study.”

CHAKRA BALANCING

Chakras are the energy centers of the body. They are located in the astral body along the spine, starting at the base of the spine and running upwards to the crown of the head. Each Chakras coincide with a gland in the physical body, and each radiate a specific color and energy. Since each chakra relates to specific spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical aspects of our being, it is said that the blockage or malfunction of the chakras can lead to physical, psychological and emotional disorders. The conscious awareness and the balancing of these energy centers on the other hand is believed to lead to well-being and good health. That is one of the purposes of asana practice: to stimulate and balance the chakras or energies in the body.

YIN AND RESORTATIVE PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION

Yin Yoga is a slower paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement. Founded by Paulie Zink a Taoist Yogi and Martial Arts expert.

Restorative yoga is a type of yoga known for its relaxing, calming and healing effect. It has its roots in the yoga of B.K.S. Iyengar, who developed a yoga that allows students to practice without any strain or pain. This was developed into a whole style of yoga which was considered ideal for those recovering from injuries or illnesses. Poses are fully supported, and held for about five minutes.
